2009 Big First Listening Tour: From Washington to Home I began my 13th annual Listening Tour on Monday, December 15, 2008. Each year since coming to Congress, I have visited communities in each of the 69 counties of the First Congressional District to learn about issues important to Kansans. This year, I started the annual tour in Washington, Kansas, in Washington County and will end the tour in Home, Kansas, in Marshall County.
I look forward to the opportunity to visit your community. I learn something from every conversation I have with Kansans. The issues I focus on and the work I do in Washington, D.C., is based on what I learn in these conversations. Please join me when I am in your area. Dates and times for this year's tour will be announced as scheduled.
